Since my first domain name purchase in 1999 - dresden.co.uk I have had a keen interest in acquiring domain names. My first purchase was followed shortly afterwards by lindop.net (my surname) but due to the cost at the time I stopped collecting at that point.

In 2002 when costs became more realistic I began to build a small portfolio, currently standing between 300 and 400 names, mostly in the .co.uk extension.

Do I sell Domain Names ?

Not really - Domain names in my portfolio are purchased specifically to develop in the future (or just because I like them) and are not purchased for a quick resale.

Though I buy names the intention is not to deprive anyone with a relevant project from using a name and generally I will be happy to negotiate a swap or even the sale of a name in most instances.

Do I buy Domain Names ?

Sometimes ! Depends on the name, price and relevance.
